​
We are looking to bring a motivated interior design professional to assist with projects in our San Francisco and Napa Valley offices. We offer a dynamic, supportive and balanced work environment with many opportunities that will advance your career. The position is located at our Lower Nob Hill San Francisco office.
Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design orsimilar
-
Minimum of 3-5 years of high-end residential or hospitality interior design experience
-
Strong design skills – with the knowledge and relationships of vendors, artists and trade resources to match. Design skills needs to be adaptable to the project’s goals – the client’s design preference, the program, the site and the history,etc.

Excellent and disciplined use of interior design principles and project management practices
-
Strong written and verbal communication and listening skills – the ability to communicate clearly and the ability to present designs and ideas successfully
-
Able to work as a team member with a senior designer as the project lead
-
Strong collaborative attitude while working with other team members, clients and contractors
-
Possess a high-level of integrity, a willingness to make decisions, a balanced and calm perspective, a genuine curiosity to continue to learn our craft and an empathetic attitude while solving problems

Proficiency with the web-based Studio Designer is desired – we use it for every aspect of our business. We are willing to train the right candidate if necessary

Skilled at hand-drawn furniture plans, sketches and perspectives
-
Proficiency with Revit is required – we are a Revit based firm and rarely use AutoCad
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud for presentations and marketing

Experience with a variety of design styles to select lighting, hardware, window coverings, appliances, plumbing fixtures and fixed finishes

Able to travel throughout the Bay Area – our various offices, job site locations, vendors, etc. Generally, we use Uber or similar to travel within SF. For travel outside of SF, we use our own cars with mileage reimbursed. We are open to Zip Cars, etc. for the right candidate.

Maintain client confidentiality
Job Responsibilities:

Meet with clients to understand the project’ goals
-
Assist in creating conceptual design with inspiration images, materials,etc.

Assist in developing conceptual furnishings plans and budget spreadsheets
-
Source furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, etc. in various design styles, budgets and schedules
-
Present designs to project team, clients, contractors,etc.
-
Develop strong relationships with vendors, showrooms, galleries and artists
-
Source interior finishes, plumbing, lighting, hardware, etc., in various design styles, budgets and schedules – Title 24 knowledge is necessary
-
Produce interior finish, plumbing fixture and decorative light fixture schedules in coordination with architectural team
-
Sketch and/or draft furniture plans, elevations and details
-
Research codes and ADA regulations on applicable projects
-
Create presentation documents and attend client meetings
-
Manage all phases of project through Studio Designer – enter items and pricing, RFQs, Ordering, Proposals;document receiving and delivery;use reports o nprofit,remaining balances,expediting,etc.

Coordination with receiving warehouse and all phases of a project’s installation
-
Assist in conducting construction administration and on-site visits
-
General office up-keep with a small team: office organization, sample orders, library clean-up, general admin tasks

Architecture Job Captain – Santa Barbara Office – Fall 2024
​
We are looking to bring a dynamic and motivated Architecture Job Captain to our Santa Barbara team. The awarded candidate will be working primarily with our senior Architects and Project Managers and will assist in generating drawings from Schematic Design through Construction Documents.
Ideal candidates are organized, self-motivated, good communicators, have excellent writing skills, and are expected to work full-time at our Santa Barbara downtown office.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s, Master’s degree in Architecture

8+ years of experience, ideally in residential architecture

Experience in all phases of the architecture process.

Interior design experience is a plus.

Proficiency in Revit is a must. We are a Revit-based firm.

Web and software savvy (Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, Twin Motion, Adobe CC)
